Miracles

Do not ever loose your faith in God! Don't ever stop believing in miracles! Do not ever give up on a loved one! Do not ever let someone tell you no!

Now let me tell you why.

Robyn Thomas, that is why.

Robyn is a friends daughter that was in a car wreck on May 19,2012. She sustained brain injuries so severe she was in a coma. On day 30 this was her mothers Facebook post... Day 30 - Well today was the dreaded 30 day mark. They say that most of the time that where a PT is at the 30 day mark is where they will be. I refuse to believe that this is the case for Robyn. I see a spark in her eyes and I know that she is in there, she is being her typical self and wants to do it on her terms and in her own time. Thanks again for all the prayers and thanks for caring about our daughter! By day 30 Robyn was opening her eyes and making some movement although the medical staff did not believe this was voluntarily.

Today Robyn is moving, talking, and eating. She still has much therapy to endure but she is alive and has begun to LIVE!

When I think of  the song My Savior My God by Aaron Shust I think of Robyn and smile big.

Robyn I know your journey has been tough and will be for days to come but know one thing... God is with you at all times. One day his plan will make since. One day you will say, "o that is why!" You have brought so many people together in prayer and that alone is wonderful. You have touched our lives, warmed our hearts, and united us. Thank you!

A Prayer For Healing

I ask everyone to join me in prayer for the healing of Robyn Thomas, daughter of Robert & Kimberly (Clearman) Thomas. Robyn was in a wreck 10 days ago and remains in a coma.

Luke 4:40 Now when the sun was setting all those who had anyone sick with various diseases brought them to Him and He laid His hand on every one of them and healed them.

51 Hours

In 51 hours I drove from Travis AFB, CA to Meridian, MS. I stopped for gas and to stretch my legs. The only other stop was in Moriarty, NM for 14 hours to sleep and eat.

I saw many beautiful things as well as strange road signs. Well I'm sure they are not strange for the locals.

I do not have time to list them all. Here are a few:
Watch for rattlesnakes
Watch for falling rocks
Warning elavation 5000 feet
Warning do not pick up hitch hikers

I have never had a desire to travel. Now after this journey, 51 Hours, driving for 37 hours and stopping for gas, sleep, & food for the other 14 hours I am so ready to load the car and hit the road.

When I arrived home I told Alex about this abandoned town in New Mexico. Broken down buildings is all that was left of it. There was a small church that looked mostly intact. The town was very small and although there was no way to know what the population was I knew it was never more than 500 people. I wanted to stop and take pictures but I knew being alone it was not safe. The town was Cuervo, NM. I have researched a little since being home and found that others did stop to take pictures. I am going to post a few from their pictures.

I now have a bucket list and going back to this town is on it. A few others will be traveling Route 66 across the USA and Highway 1 in California.

Great Day

I had a great day today. We worked in the yard then I cooked supper. My beautiful sister came over and ate with us.

Awesome

I went to Walmart today and was reminded how AWESOME God is. When I walked in there was an elderly gentleman entering on a powered chair. I smiled and nodded at him. As I walked on he said hello. I stopped and went over to him. "How are you today?" I said. He said, "I am very good my birthday is tomorrow." I asked how old he will be and he said 86.

I see sooooo many bitter people out there that is was refreshing to have met this wonderful man.

Thank you God! I raise my hands in worship. You are Awesome!

FYI

Any one that really knows me knows I am a numbers freak. So..... At 8am Russell Christian Academy begins the first day of the last five weeks of school. Five weeks.... Sigh! That's all the separates a 8th grader and a 9th grader.... A 13 year old and a 14 year old. Just cant believe my baby will be 14 years old in 5 weeks or a 9th grader.

Prayer Request

One of my families dearest friends has an appointment tomorrow with an eye specialist. This appointment is very important because it will be to see if he can have surgery to save his eye sight. He is so special to my family. PLEASE SAY A PRAYER FOR BRYAN TENNYSON!

Well I finally got my glasses today after nearly 3 weeks. I AM NOT a.fan of progressive lens. I will be nice but I would really like to give that salesman a piece of my mind. I'm sure they work fine for far sighted people but not for near sighted.

Secret Shopping

So I have taken the test and I am now a qualified Secret Shopper. Now crossing my fingers for multiple offers.

I figure since I LOVE fashion and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to shop I might as well get paid for it :)

Yummy To My Tummy

I am sitting outside in the shade eating lunch. It is so peaceful to listen to the birds, smell the grass, and watch the little critters scurry around. Thank you Lord for this blessed day.

P.S. The lunch menu was..... Tuna on wheat pita bread, dried apple slices, and a bottle of water.

I almost forgot... I am sure some of you might be trying to figure out where my title came from. The Bucks should be apparent which is short for Buckalew's. My oldest has CRYSTAL blue eyes and my nickname for him is Blue. My youngest has sky blue eyes and my nickname for him is Sky. Put it all together and you get Bucks Blue Sky.
